Simon Cowell Superyacht Slipstream Available for Charter

Boats & Yachts: Slipstream, the superyacht American Idol creator Simon Cowell spent his summer lounging around on is now available for charter with rates starting at about $450,000 per week – though if you want the full luxury package including private chef that Cowell opted for, be prepared to pay around twice that amount. The 196-ft. craft can accommodate 12 guests plus a crew of 14 and features mirrors above a giant waterbed, a Jacuzzi, an observation lounge with panoramic views, gym and a sky lounge with a retractable roof.

Launched last year by France’s CMN Shipyard, their largest yacht to date, Slipstream is one of the chicest craft on the water. The décor is a super-stylish mélange of modern and nautical, taking full advantage of the yacht’s panoramic windows. The yacht’s interiors are finished in a neo-Art Deco style combining dark ebony joinery and red leather paneling. The sun-deck is kitted out with a spa, sun-pads, bar with BBQ and al-fresco dining area, and the yacht comes equipped with a cutting edge home entertainment system including video on demand as well as a satellite communications center.

Sterling Independence Support Ship with Heliport

Boats & Yachts: If this is the supporting vessel, imagine the size of the mega yachtaccompanying it!

This is the Independence, a super-sized support ship that is 190 feet in length. This is not your typical tender, that is, unless yours also happens to be capable of housing a floating heliport with enough storage space to carry every water toy fathomable.

The Independence also has a dive center and its own tender (at least one). According to a report recently posted by Super Yacht Times, it cruises at 18 knots and is large enough to land a Bell 429 or an Augusta Grande helicopter on the deck.

The super-support ship stems from the efforts of a Monaco-based triumvirate of aviation — and marine-related companies. Sterling/Scott Yacht Design, Edmiston & Company, and Sky Group/Monacair have aligned their assets to float this enormous endeavor. Additionally, McFarlane ShipDesign is providing technical support to the project.

The Independence was promoted at this year's Monaco Yacht Show, which ran from September 22-25.

Charter The World's Coolest Superyacht for $1 Million Per Month

Luxury Yachting: For $1 million per month you can now charter the world’s coolest superyacht, the 164-ft. Exuma built by Perini Navi, in the South Pacific. The Exuma, the first motor yacht from the world-famous builder of the Maltese Falcon, and can accommodate ten guests in five luxurious staterooms. An unnamed celebrity has already booked passage on the chic ship. The aluminum-hulled Exuma, which will also be available for charter by the week for $250,000 (pending availability) is the first model in the newly-launched Picchiotti Vitruvius series, a collaboration between Perini Navi, Vitruvius Ltd. and famed naval architect Philippe Briand.

The Exuma was recently awarded was the Rina Green Plus Platinum certificate in recognition of her proven commitment to environmental excellence, as well as the Most Innovative Yacht of the Year award at the 2010 World Yacht Trophy, and she also took home a prize at the 2010 Nautical Design Awards. Interior furnishings for the were designed by Perini Navi’s in-house team with a focus on classic maritime style tradition, using oak, teak and Italian marble. The sleek ship has a range of 5,500 nautical miles at 12 knots and comes equipped with a fully customized 16.4 ft. amphibious vehicle and a Hov Pod 12 ft. hovercraft housed in two tender garages with gull-wing doors.

Feadship recently unwrapped in Monaco the third installment of their SL39 models baptized as Go.
The Go is another custom superyacht just like its SL39 predecessors, the Ocean Mercury and the Kathleen Anne. The architects of De Voogt Naval are responsible for the Feadship signature exterior design lines. The team of FPA Architects handled the interiors.
The interiors play with classy colors, fabrics, and textures to complete the luxurious looks. The designers used teak to give the main salon and dining room a natural feel. Fabric from Dominique Kieffer was used for the main salon’s sofa. The sofa can be easily turned so everyone can enjoy some entertainment courtesy of the 46-inch plasma TV on the china cabinet.
The dining room gets a black table made from oak as its certain piece. The best of the best look is competed by the satin back glass for the sliding doors and the silver linen carpet.
The bridge deck and the aft deck are the best places where guests can hang out. The blending of colors from one area to the other is perfect with the natural finish of the walls and floors. These are spacious areas where one can enjoy the view while enjoying some drinks at the big bar in the center.
The sundeck comes with sun loungers, chairs, and some breakfast tables. Under the mast of the radar, guests can relax in the large Jacuzzi or sunbathe on the sun mattresses flanking it.
Go has a superstructure made of aluminum and truly a world cruiser having a top speed of 14 knots. It is powered by 12V200 twin M70 diesel engines with 4000 nautical mile range at ten knots.
This superyacht has a tag price of €27.500.000 and is also available for charter.

Pershing 115′ Silver Streak Cruiser

By Timmy | April 17, 2009
I’m a Pershing fan. Every single yacht they produce just looks like it’s ready to do some speeding, without ever letting you feel like you have to give in to any kind of luxury you’re used to on the shore. The most extravagant Pershings are so decadent it’ll make the world’s richest boat-lovers slightly aroused.

I’m not a rich boat-lover, but I’m very, very aroused when I see these breathtaking photos of Pershings latest Pershing 115′ Silver Streak…
Pershing 115 Exterior Yacht
As always, Pershing has equipped this jaw-dropping dream yacht with a spacious and light interior. Both the captain (and his crew) as the passengers can enjoy any trip in full luxury. Proof below:
