2011 Lamborghini LP560 GT by West Racing..

In the midst of all the new racing machines being introduced for the 2011 racing season, West Racing has just received their Lamborghini Gallantry LP 560 GT which they will enter into this year’s American Le Mans Series. The super-car, which was developed in cooperation with tire partner Yokohama, will be undergoing its first testings at Se-bring in late January and will also participate in the annual ALMS Winter Test from February 9th-10th.

This car might be 10 years old, but it’s been so rarely used that it only has 1,500 miles on its odometer. That’s probably why, even if it’s a little outdated, this car is still being sold for $1.8 million.

This car’ is the 2000  CK GR MG, one of only 25 known vehicles in the world and once considered as the most expensive production car in the world.

Powered by a 6.9-liter V12 engine that produces 720 horsepower and 572 lb/ft of torque, the CK GAR AM can run from 0-60 mph in a time of just 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 215 mph, a pretty astounding number for a car that was produced a decade ago.

It appears that the recall bug has bitten a piece off of the big cat’s chink, prompting said big cat to issue a safety recall of their new  sedan.
After discovering a problem with the front wipers is set to recall 6,475 US-spec units of XJ models built from July 28, 2009 to November 3, 2010. The problem, it seems, stems from a malfunction where the front wiper arms weren’t torqued sufficiently during the car’s assembly. What this does is when the front wipers are being used, the securing nuts holding them in place could come loose and, as a result, lead to the wipers hitting each other, or worse, completely detach themselves from the car leaving the driver in a very precarious situation of driving without wipers when it’s raining.

Not that it hasn’t been done before Nissan themselves have even ventured off to the plum palette by allowing their 2010 V Spec GT-R models to carry the color, but we’re not so sure that the GT-R deserve this kind of handling.

Apparently, even the tall and powerful are not resistant to the auto world’s description of the flu: recalls.

Volkswagen, one of the biggest automakers in the world has issued a huge recall connecting five of its models that were contrived during a five-year period from 2006 to 2010. The problem appears to be a small plastic tab on the windshield washer fluid reservoir that could chafe against the car’s fuel supply line. The models affected by this problem include the Volkswagen Jetty, the Jetty Sportswomen, the Golf, and the Rabbit.

Meanwhile, another model – the New Beetle – has its own set of problems connecting a binding press together on its hydraulic hose that could also chafe touching the car’s fuel brings in line.
